Leaders in education are challenged with the task of using data in effective ways in order to communicate the learning and instructional needs of all students. Facilitating data-driven decisions involves implementing structures and creating school environments that promotes thoughtful engagement with data in order to foster continuous improvement, cultivating a shared vision, building human capacity, and modifying systems to promote equity and access for student support and achievement (Datnow & Park, 2014). This paper provides a brief overview of the theoretical frameworks for data analysis strategies (formative assessments, summative assessments, growth models and interim assessments), followed by a data analysis of Will Rogers Middle School of San Juan Unified School District. In conclusion, a brief summary of the data findings are provided along with five identified goals suggested for implementation at Will Rogers Middle School. Link To Document on Data Analysis: https...
